Angel Heart International, Inc. is a public 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation serving to help children with congenital heart diseases (CHD) in China and other developing countries.
Many of the surgeries treating CHD has almost a 99% chance of success, given they are performed in time. After the surgery, every child can lead completely normal lives, and most CHD diseases are treatable. The best time for surgery is between ages 0-6 years of age; the younger the better. Unfortunately, many of the families Angel Heart works with cannot afford the surgery and can only wait for this completely treatable disease to take their children away.

On July 5th, 2009, many of the children that Angel Heart had helped before, as well as some new faces, gathered at a center near the city of DingXi for check-ups in the morning. During the afternoon, Angel Heart visited the houses of Ma Jin Rong, Zhu Li Na, and Ding Ya Pin to meet the children. The next day, Wang Tao received surgery for VSD, and the operation was successful. We also visited Niu Hai Xiong, Ma Jin Rong, and Ma Juan, who were awaiting check-ups inside the hospital. Zhu Li Na and Liu Wen received surgery this summer as well.
